Top 3 North Indian Restaurants in KL
- Qureshi @Bukit Kiara
Awarded the ‘Best Restaurant’ of the year by Malaysia Tatler in 2015 & 2016, Qureshi tops our list of the best north Indian restaurants in KL.
This fine dining restaurant is perfect for a romantic dinner with your partner or even for family celebrations.
The ambience is lovely and the décor gives a very fancy royal vibe.
Okay, now let’s dive straight into the food!!
The menu has a great variety. You can choose from starters like kebabs and tikkas to ala carte dishes like butter chicken and dals.
Their bestseller is the ‘Lucknawi Dum Biryani’, where the Basmati rice cooked with marinated meat and aromatic spices will leave you salivating for more 😋😋
It is definitely the best north Indian style biryani in KL.
We also recommend their signature dish ‘Dal Qureshi’ which is black lentils cooked with tomatoes and cream.

2. Barbeque Nation @Pavilion Elite
Located in the ‘Elite’ section of Pavilion Mall, Barbeque Nation cement its place as one of the best buffet restaurants in KL serving yummy Indian food.
Originally from India, this place is quite spacious with a live grilling counter on each table (Yes, that’s right!) which adds to its unique experience.
The buffet spread includes a wide range of items. From starters like kebabs and tandoors with dipping sauces to main course items like butter naans, mutton biryani, paneer tikka masala and aloo gobi.
The all-you-can-eat buffet station looks so delicious that it’s difficult to stop overeating 😁😁
The best part is that they keep serving you unlimited grilled skewers until you are full (Wow!).
Vegetarians, fret not!!
Barbeque Nation has an amazing spread for non meat eaters too!
Our recommendation is the Mutton seekh kebab and Crispy sweet corns. Mmmmm !
Wrap up your meal with some desserts like Kesar pista kulfi and Gulab jamun.

Next up is for Tandoori chicken lovers!!
Established in 2016, Tastebud has surprisingly gained some good reputation through word of mouth.
They serve yummy food at a very reasonable price. Their bestseller is the Chicken Tandoori.
Chicken thighs are marinated in yogurt, chilli, garlic and garam masala, and then chargrilled. You can pair this with some fluffy garlic naan. Heavenly! 🤤🤤
We also recommend their Vegetarian biryani and Mint lemon juice. The best part is that the portions are generous.
The staff are really friendly and the service pretty fast. However, weekends are usually very busy.
Wrap it up by trying their Gajar ka halwa– a dessert made with carrot, condensed milk and dry fruits.
